The voicemail drop feature allows you to leave a message automatically when your outgoing call goes to voicemail. In this guide, you’ll learn how to activate and use this feature to save considerable time during your sales call campaigns.
Prerequisites
- You must have a Ringover Advanced account to use this feature.
Activating and using Voicemail Drop
1. Activate voicemail drop
Enable the feature in your settings to start using pre-recorded messages instead of leaving a separate message for every unanswered call.
- Go to your Ringover account settings.
- Select the "Calls" tab.
- Go to the “Outgoing Calls” section to activate the feature.
Create your message
Once the feature is activated, you must set up the message you want to drop. You have three options:
- Click on the icon to record a voicemail.
- Import an audio file in MP3 format.
- Automatically generate your voicemail drop message by choosing a voice and writing the text.
2. Use voicemail drop
Whenever an outgoing call goes to voicemail, you have the option to leave your pre-recorded message for the contact.
- Click on the "voicemail drop" 📼 button before hanging up.
- The call will end automatically, and your message will be instantly dropped in the contact's voicemail.
3. Best practices for voicemail messages
When leaving a message after the beep, it is important to provide context and be brief.
- Grab the recipient’s attention by addressing them by name.
- Introduce yourself and remind them of the reason for the call.
- Make the contact want to call back by getting to the point and piquing their curiosity.
“Hello [Contact’s Name], I am [Caller’s Name and Position] at [Company Name]. I am contacting you regarding [Reason for the Call]. I would like to discuss [Added Value of Your Service or Product]. You can, of course, call me back at [Phone Number] to discuss this further. In the meantime, I wish you a very good day. Goodbye!”
