Personalizing user audio allows you to customize the calling experience for each individual phone number associated with your account. In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up pre-answer announcements, hold music, and voicemail messages for your team.

Customize ringtones and audio greetings

1. Access user audio settings

Each Ringover user possesses at least one phone number. You have the possibility of personalizing the hold music or pre-answer announcements for each specific account.

1. Go to your Users page.
2. Click on the user whose account you wish to modify.
3. Scroll down to the “Audio” section.

2. Create and configure your audio

Once you know the type of audio you need, you can enable and create it directly from the interface.

1. Enable the specific ringtones and greetings you want to activate.
2. Click on "Create".
3. Choose to add text for text-to-speech, or record your voice and select the voice you recorded.
4. Decide to add or upload background music.

If you added background music, you must configure how it loops during the call.

1. Configure the wait time, repeat message, and message loop interval.
2. Enable or disable the background music at the end of the message.
3. Click on "Preview" to hear your final audio and add a name for it.

You can edit your saved audio later or completely remove it by clicking on the bin icon.

3. Understand the types of audio messages

Before creating your audio, identify which type of greeting or music you want to enable:

• Ringback: Music that accompanies your announcement or greeting.
• Greeting: Played before the ringing tone.
• Call transfer or hold music: Played when you transfer a call or place your caller on hold.
• Voicemail drop: A pre-recorded or automatic message played to callers when their call is directed to a user's voicemail.
• Call recording announcement: A pre-recorded or automatic message broadcast to a correspondent to inform them that a call recording is in progress.
