Time slots allow you to determine the specific periods when your incoming calls will be active. In this guide, you’ll learn how to enable working hours permissions, customize your daily availability, and ensure calls are properly redirected to voicemail when you are offline.
Prerequisites
- Your administrator must enable specific user permissions from the Dashboard for you to use this functionality.
Configure your business hours
1. Enable business hours permissions
Grant specific users the ability to manage their own time slots directly from their dashboard settings.
- Go to your Users settings in the Dashboard.
- Click "Edit" next to the user for whom you want to enable the functionality.
- Select the "Permissions" section.
- Search for "Business hours".
- Enable it by clicking the button that appears on the right.
2. Customize your time slots in the WebApp
Set up your personal working hours directly from your application to ensure calls are automatically redirected when you are away.
- Go to the Ringover WebApp or the desktop application.
- Click on "Settings" and go to the "Calls" section.
- Head to the "Working Hours" section.
- Enable the functionality by clicking the button on the right (the default schedule will automatically appear).
- Open the time dropdown list and select your desired time slots. To add or remove a specific time slot during the day, simply use the “+” or “–” buttons.
- You can also apply it to the entire week.
- Click "Save" when you are done.
3. Configure working hours for your team
As an admin, you can manually define the business hours for your users and apply those settings in bulk.
- Go to your Dashboard Settings.
- Define the business hours of your specific user.
- Select the precise time slots you wish to assign.
- Once configured, you can easily apply this time slot configuration to other users, groups, or roles to save time.
