Configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) with Azure Active Directory allows your team members to securely access Ringover using their corporate Azure AD credentials. In this guide, you’ll learn how to create the enterprise application in Azure, upload metadata to configure SAML authentication, and assign users to the SSO profile.
Prerequisites
- An active Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) administrator account.
- An active Ringover administrator account.
- 🔗 The Ringover SAML metadata XML file provided by Ringover.
Configure Azure AD SSO for Ringover
1. Create the Ringover application in Azure
Set up a new custom non-gallery application inside your Azure Active Directory admin center.
- Sign into the Azure Active Directory admin center.
- Click on Business applications in the left-hand menu.
- Click on New application at the top of the panel.
- Click Create your own application.
- Enter Ringover as the application name.
- Select Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery).
- Click Create.
2. Configure SAML single sign-on
Import Ringover's SAML metadata file and complete the authentication URL configuration.
- In your new Ringover application menu, click on Single sign-on (or Single-use authentication).
- Select SAML as the single sign-on method.
- Click on Upload metadata file.
- Select and import the Ringover SAML metadata XML file.
- Verify that the fields are pre-completed upon import.
- In the Transfer status (Relay State) field, enter:
https://auth.ringover.com/sso/?aid=saml2 - Click Save at the top of the page.
- Download your 🔗 Federation Metadata XML file from Azure.
💡 Good to know: Once Ringover engineers finalize the metadata integration on our end, the secure SSO connection between Azure and Ringover will be active.
3. Assign users and groups
Grant access permissions to the specific team members who will log in via Azure SSO.
- From the application sidebar menu, click on Users and groups.
- Click Add user/group.
- Select the individual users or groups you want to grant Ringover SSO access to.
- Click Assign at the bottom of the screen.
💡 Tip: Ensure user primary email addresses in Azure Active Directory exactly match their assigned Ringover user account emails for smooth SSO authentication.
