Connect and synchronise Google Contacts
1. Synchronise shared external contacts from the Dashboard
Connect your organisation's Google account to synchronise company-wide shared contacts with your entire team.
- Log in to your Ringover Dashboard as an administrator.
- Navigate to Store > Integrations.
- Locate Google Contacts Sync and click on it.
- Select your administrator Google account and authorise the requested permissions.
- Return to Dashboard > Store > Integrations and click on Google Contacts Sync again.
- Choose the contact lists and shared directories you want to synchronise.
Ensure phone numbers in Google Contacts are formatted with their international country code (E.164 format) so caller names display immediately during incoming calls.
FAQ
Why are my personal Google contacts not showing up in Ringover?
Verify that you have completed the authorisation step in your Ringover Webapp settings and that the Contact synchronisation toggle is switched on. Initial imports can take several minutes depending on the size of your address book.
Can regular users synchronise company-wide shared contacts?
No. Company-wide shared external contacts can only be connected and configured by an administrator from the Ringover Dashboard under Store > Integrations.
