Ringover's "Send a Fax" feature allows you to send faxes over the Internet directly from your web or desktop application, eliminating the need for a physical fax machine. In this guide, you’ll learn how to quickly configure, send, and manage your faxes using different views.

Sending faxes with Ringover

1. Activate the feature 

Before starting, you must activate the free fax feature in your Marketplace. 

To assign a fax number to one of your users, you also need an available landline number that has not yet been assigned. 👉 How to change the conversation's view

1. Send a fax (Unified view ON)

Send a fax directly from your active conversations.

1. Go to your conversations.

2. Click on the + next to the search bar to search for the contact.

3. Open the chat with your previous exchanges for this number.

4. Verify it's the fax number on the bottom right.

5. Click on the file icon to choose your file.

6. Wait for the loading bar to finish until you see the "sent" info (you can also download to read the file here).

2. Send a fax (Unified view OFF)

Send a fax using your dedicated fax logs.

1. Go to your logs.

2. Click on the Fax section.

3. Click "Send fax".

4. Select the number you will use to send.

5. Select the file you want to upload to read your fax.

6. Click send (or remove to change the file).

3. Manage and filter your faxes

Track and organize your communication history within the Fax section.

Manage Faxes

Use these options to handle specific documents:

• View or download the sent document.

• Put the fax in your favorites or add a tag.

• Check for an acknowledgment of receipt.

• Click the three dots to: call back, view the contact, or delete.

Filter Faxes

Use these filters to find specific records:

Filter by :

1. Number

2. Fax type

• Incoming: Refers to faxes arriving at your fax number (a fax someone sent to your fax line).

• Outgoing: Refers to faxes you send from your fax number to another fax number.

• Failed: Refers to attempts to send or receive faxes that did not complete successfully due to technical issues or errors (e.g., connection problems or incorrect numbers).
