Ringover calling modes allow you to choose how your calls are routed on your mobile device to ensure optimal call quality. In this guide, you’ll learn how to configure cellular network forwarding and Internet VoIP settings on your Ringover Mobile app.
Prerequisites
To use these features, make sure you meet the following requirements:
- The Ringover Mobile app installed on your device.
- Minimum operating system: Android 9 or iOS 15.
- Usage in one of the active countries where Call Assist is available: Germany, France, Réunion, Mayotte, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, United Kingdom, Spain, USA/Canada, Portugal, Italy, or the Netherlands.
Configuring calling modes
1. Set up the cellular network option
Forwarding your calls directly to your mobile number is highly useful to ensure the reliability of your calls during an unstable or low internet connection.
To activate this option, follow these steps:
- Open your Ringover Mobile app.
- Go to your settings and profile, located at the bottom right of your screen.
- Click on "Calling modes".
- Enable the "cellular network" feature.
- Choose your country calling code.
- Add your mobile phone number.
2. Validate and answer cellular calls
Once activated, your incoming Ringover calls will be forwarded directly to your mobile network.
- Receiving calls: You will receive an incoming call displaying the correspondent's number.
- Connecting the call: Once you accept the call, press 1 on your keypad to establish the communication and connect to your correspondent.
3. Enable the Internet VoIP option
If you prefer to make and receive calls directly over the internet, you can use the VoIP configuration. This is also highly reliable for managing unstable connections and redirecting calls to your mobile.
To enable this option, follow the steps below:
- Open your Ringover Mobile app.
- Go to your settings and profile, located at the bottom right of your screen.
- Click on "Calling modes".
- Select the "VOIP" option.
