Empower's AI Call Summary uses artificial intelligence to automatically analyze each phone conversation, whether it's a sales or support call. It provides a clear summary, facilitates customer follow-up, and enables transcription to ensure nothing essential is missed.
⚠️ Important: AI summaries require call recording permissions to be enabled. Without a call recording, the system cannot create a transcript or summary. To enable call recording permissions, open the Ringover desktop or web app, navigate to your account settings, and ensure that call recording is enabled.
🧠 How to create a custom summary style with Empower?
Empower lets you create your own summary styles for calls or meetings, tailored to your specific needs. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Use a Template
Name your summary style: In the "Name" field, enter a clear title to easily identify this style later.
Examples: "Short client summary", "Support meeting analysis", "Detailed sales follow-up"
Select a template: Click "Select a template" to choose a predefined summary structure.

Set the summary length:
Short (100–250 words): ideal for a quick overview.
Long (250–500 words): recommended for more detailed analysis.
Select the option that best fits your needs.
Add keywords: In the "Keywords" section, you can add important words or phrases to guide summary generation.
🎯 Goal: improve summary accuracy by focusing on specific themes or elements.
Examples of keywords:
for support calls: "error", "incident", "temporary fix"
for sales calls: "budget", "next step", "competition"
Preview the summary: Once the template is selected, the length set, and keywords added, a summary preview will appear at the bottom of the page.
This allows you to verify the final output before confirming.

Write Instructions

In addition to predefined templates, Empower lets you write your own instructions to generate a summary tailored to your specific needs. Here's how:
Write your own instructions: In the “Prompt” field, you can write up to 2000 characters to guide the AI. Describe the elements you want included in the summary.

- “Summarize the client's main objections and the responses given.”
- “Create a structured summary in three parts: context, challenges, next steps.”
- “Highlight the decisions made and the participants mentioned.”
👉 Be clear, specific, and guide the AI with tone, structure, and priorities.
Choose the summary length: Just like with the other method, two options are available:
- Short (100–250 words): for quick, concise overviews
- Long (250–500 words): for a complete and detailed report
Summary preview: After writing your prompt, click “Save prompt” to generate a preview. This helps validate that the style matches your needs.

Assign Users and Groups
You can add users and groups. Click the corresponding section to access the different assignment methods:
Search and add a specific user.
Select an entire group.
Or add all users at once, then manually remove any as needed.
Call Summary Settings
This section allows you to customize how call summaries are generated within your organization. Three main options are available to tailor the experience to your needs.
Default Summary Language
Select the language that will be used for all call summaries.
If this option is disabled, each user’s preferred language (defined in their profile) will be applied automatically.
AI-Suggested Summary
When enabled, the AI will automatically analyze each call and suggest the most appropriate summary style. This ensures more relevant summaries without requiring manual adjustments.
Set Default Summary Style
You can assign a default summary style for all users or for specific team members. Simply select a user from the list and choose the desired style.
