Designing the prompt for your AIRO agent is a critical step in building your AI assistant. The prompt system serves as the brain of your agent, defining its exact behavior during a call, including what tasks it should perform, how it should speak, and when it needs to transfer the caller.
Setting up your prompt
1. Greeting message
You have the flexibility to write this message from scratch, or you can modify an existing one if you started via a template or guided creation.
You can insert variables such as caller ID, call duration, UTC time, Date and time, and timezone directly into the prompt. If you do not use these variables, your agent will simply repeat the exact same static message on every call. |
2. Prompt System
The platform gives you plenty of room to build out detailed instructions.
You can click the expansion icon to open a full-page view, which allows you to type up to 10,000 characters per section.
If you get stuck or want to improve your wording, you can use the "enhance with AI" button to automatically refine your prompts. Keep in mind that you do not have to fill in every single box; you only need to complete the sections that are essential for your specific needs.
The prompt system is broken down into specific themes to help you structure your agent's identity and purpose:

Next, you will dictate exactly how the agent interacts with the caller:

Finally, outline the boundaries and technical capabilities of your agent:

🎉 By carefully configuring these settings, you will successfully architect a reliable, dynamic, and highly customized AIRO agent!
