Overview
The Spott x Ringover integration lets you place calls directly from Spott.io (ATS) using Ringover, and automatically logs completed calls back into Spott with a short call summary.
This integration is developed by Spott.
Functional scope
- Embedded Ringover dialer inside Spott (Click-to-Dial)
- Automatic logging of completed inbound and outbound calls with call summaries
- Call logs are available on Candidates, Contacts and Companies pages
Prerequisites
- You must have a Ringover account with access to the API and Webhooks sections in the Ringover Dashboard
- The setup should be done by a Ringover admin or a technical account able to create API keys and configure webhooks
- You need sufficient permissions in Spott to enable integrations and configure calling settings
I. Configuration in Ringover
Before you can call from Spott and automatically log your calls, you must connect your Ringover account to Spott by creating an API key and configuring a webhook in Ringover, then enabling the integration in Spott.

Create an API Key in Ringover
In your browser, open: https://dashboard.ringover.com/api
- Click
Create API key - Select a user from the dropdown menu
- Add a label to identify your key (e.g.
Spott Integration) - Click
Createto generate your API key - Scroll to the Rights section and enable all permissions (Read and Write) for:
- Monitoring
- Calls
- Contacts
- Users
- Numbers
- IVRs
- Conversations
- Empower
- Copy the generated API Key (you will paste it into Spott later)
- Click

Configure the webhook in Ringover
In your browser, open: https://dashboard.ringover.com/webhooks
- Activate the webhook by toggling the switch next to Activate webhook
- Locate the Calls ended field and paste the following URL:
https://api.gospott.com/webhooks/ringover - Save your changes
- Copy the Webhook key from the Webhooks page (you will paste it into Spott later)

Enable the integration in Spott
- In Spott, open the Ringover integration page and click
Enable - Paste your Ringover API Key (from Ringover API) into the API key field
- Paste your Ringover Webhook key (from Ringover Webhooks) into the Webhook key field
- Click

- In Spott, open the Ringover integration page and click

Select your Ringover number in Spott
In Spott, go to
Settings > Personal > Calls. You should now see Ringover listed as active.- Choose your Ringover number from the available list
- This number is required to receive incoming calls and to link call notes to the correct user
- Note: numbers must be assigned in Ringover by an admin before they appear in Spott

Enable call recordings in Ringover
Ensure call recordings are enabled in your Ringover Dashboard so Spott can generate call summaries from completed calls.
Done! Your Ringover account is now connected to Spott. Call data will be automatically synchronized when calls end 🎉
II. How it works
Once Ringover is connected, you can call candidates and contacts directly from Spott without switching tools. When a call ends, Spott automatically creates a note including a short summary, the date and time of the call, and a link to the relevant records.
Here’s what calling looks like after setup:
- Open any Candidate or Contact record that has a phone number, then click the Start Call button
- If the Ringover app isn’t open, you’ll be prompted to launch it (the phone number is prefilled)
- Click the Call button to start dialing
- Within a few minutes after the call ends, Spott creates a Note containing:
- A concise summary of the call (generated from the transcript)
- The date and time of the call
- Links to the correct caller and recipient
Incoming calls can automatically open the caller’s file in Spott, so you can access context quickly.
Troubleshooting
Q. I can’t see call logs or summaries in Spott. What should I check?
- Confirm the Ringover integration is enabled in Spott and your API key is correctly saved
- Verify the webhook is enabled in Ringover and the Calls ended URL is set to:
https://api.gospott.com/webhooks/ringover - Ensure the selected Ringover number is assigned to your user in Ringover and selected in
Settings > Personal > Callsin Spott - Make sure call recordings are enabled in Ringover so summaries can be generated
