Unilateral call recording and transcription allows you to capture only your agent's side of a call. In this guide, you’ll learn how to activate or deactivate these options to manage your recording storage and protect caller privacy.
Activate the unilateral option
1. Enable or disable unilateral call recording/transcription
Configure your call settings so that only your agent's audio stream is saved during a conversation.
- Go to your Ringover Dashboard.
- Navigate to your Settings page.
- Open the "Other" page.
- Locate the options "Activate unilateral recording (your agent is always recorded)" and/or "Activate unilateral transcription (your agent is always transcribed)"
- Toggle the switch to activate or deactivate the feature.
2. Understand the benefits of unilateral settings
Limiting your recording and transcription to the agent's side of the conversation provides several key operational advantages:
- Manage storage limits: Prevent exceeding your call recording quota or threshold by saving only half of the audio stream.
- Maintain consistent records: Ensure you always have a reliable recording of your agent's performance for internal training and quality assurance.
