Advanced recording management
Using the Ringover API : For advanced users or businesses needing to automate recording management, the Ringover API allows programmatic downloading and management of call recordings. This option is particularly useful for integration with other systems or for automated backups.
Legal and privacy considerations : When using call recordings, ensure you comply with local regulations regarding privacy and data protection. In many countries, it is mandatory to inform participants that a call is being recorded.
US call recording consent laws : Call recording laws in the United States vary by state. Some states follow one-party consent, while others require all-party consent before a call can be recorded.
Ringover does not currently detect the caller’s state or automatically apply recording rules based on location. Call recordings can be started or stopped manually, allowing users to decide when to record calls. It's the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their call recording practices comply with applicable local laws.
