With Ringover's "Send a Fax" feature, you can send faxes over the Internet from your web or desktop application. Just enter the recipient’s fax number, upload your document, and click "Send." It's fast, convenient, and eliminates the need for a physical fax machine.
Prerequisites:
- To assign a fax number 📠 to one of your users, you need an available landline number that has not yet been assigned.
- You must have activated the free feature in your Marketplace beforehand.
Send a fax or view a received fax
Access the fax section
- Go to the fax section located at the top right of your Ringover Webapp

Send a fax
- Go to the fax section located at the top right of your Ringover Webapp
- Click on "New"
- Select the number from which the fax will be sent
- Enter the fax number or name of your recipient
- Attach the document 📄 you wish to send
- Click "Send" to send your fax
- Your fax will be in the process of being sent
💡 There are three types of fax statuses:

- Incoming: refers to faxes arriving at your fax number. In other words, it's a fax someone sent to your fax line.
- Outgoing: refers to faxes you send from your fax number to another fax number. In other words, it's a fax you are sending.
- Failed: refers to attempts to send or receive faxes that did not complete successfully due to a technical issue or error. This can include connection problems or incorrect numbers.
- The fax will be sent successfully
View a received fax
- Go to the fax section located at the top right of your Ringover Webapp
- Click on one of the received faxes to view the details page
