Clearing your browser’s cache can help resolve performance issues and free up space on your device 🌐.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome Settings
- 💻 Open your Chrome browser
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the window to open the menu
- Then, select Settings
Step 2: Access Browsing Data
- In Settings, look for the Privacy and Security section on the left side of your screen
- Scroll down and find the Clear Browsing Data option
- Click on this option to open a new window
Step 3: Select Items to Clear
- You’ll see two tabs:

- Basic: Provides a quick and easy method to clear common browsing data
- Advanced: Offers more detailed control over what you wish to delete
💡 This ensures that only temporary files are cleared without affecting your browsing history or cookies (unless you choose to delete them as well)
- 📅 Choose the time range (last hour, 24 hours, 7 days, 4 weeks, or all time) for which you want to clear the cache
Step 4: Clear Data
- Once you've selected the items to clear, click Clear Data ✅
💡 This may take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the amount of data
Step 5: Restart Google Chrome (Optional)
Although not required, it's recommended to restart Chrome to ensure all changes take effect.
