What this is about
Ringover OAuth is a feature that enables you to use your Ringover account to make calls and send SMS from Cadence.
Connecting with Ringover OAuth
Below is a step-by-step instruction to get you going-
- Step 1: Linking your Ringover account with your Cadence. You can do this by logging into your Cadence account and clicking on your Profile icon located in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Step 2: Click on Connect with Ringover button.
- Step 3: In the next step, It will ask you to login with your Ringover account. Once you are done with it, it will redirect you to Cadence Profile page.
- Step 4: The button should now show "You are connected with Ringover".
- Step 5: You've now used Ringover OAuth to successfully link your Ringover account with Cadence.
When inviting new users to Cadence, you may now make calls and send SMS without manually entering your Ringover user ID and API key.
Recognising US and EU Localisation
Cadence supports Ringover OAuth (for businesses in the US and EU areas). This is implemented at the user level. Hence, the localization/region is dependent on the Ringover account that is connected using Ringover OAuth, and it is not localized depending on the company.
This means that if one user has a US Localized account and another has an EU Localized account then the users' interactions with Ringover will change, being US and EU, respectively. Under the context of the Ringover OAuth connection, the company's location is irrelevant.
Callback Tasks
For callback tasks, the API Key and Ringover User ID are mandatory. These credentials can be set in the Edit modal in Groups and User.
