About
The LinkedIn Extension task consists of four steps. You may perform these actions simultaneously in a single cadence or separately in various cadences. We are describing every task in a different cadence:
Connection request
This task helps to send a LinkedIn connection request. The connection request will be sent if you have updated your cookies; otherwise, it will prompt you to visit the lead's LinkedIn profile and do that manually.
These are the following steps to execute the task:
- Step 1: Go to the Cadence page and create a new cadence with the step LinkedIn
- Step 2: Select the particular task to which you want to connect.
- Step 3: Here you will find a space where you can write some messages along with the connection request:
- Step 4: After you launch this cadence, this particular task will appear on the task page, and after clicking on that particular task, you will get to see the LinkedIn connection button on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Step 5: When you click the button, a modal window with the message you entered will appear. Next, you must click on the Send connection request button
- Step 6: Cadence will attempt to perform the task for you. When the task is successfully performed, you will get a notification on the top left of the screen and, at the same time, a notification in the activity area saying, “This task is done....”
- Step 7: In the event of failure, it will prompt you to visit the LinkedIn profile of the lead and perform the task manually.
LinkedIn messages
You can send a LinkedIn message to the lead’s LinkedIn; if the connection request was accepted, whatever message was written in the body during task creation will be sent.
These are the following steps to execute the task:
- Step 1: Go to the Cadence page and create a new cadence with the step LinkedIn
- Step 2: Select the particular task in the LinkedIn message and launch the cadence.
- Step 3: Go to the task page and click on the particular task. On the right side of the screen, you will be able to see the LinkedIn message button. Click on it.
- Step 4: A modal will open where you will have to write the message and then click on the Send message button. You can use variables to write messages as well.
- Step 5: You will receive a notification that the task has been completed after the message has been sent. Cadence will attempt to perform the task for you.
- Step 6: In the event of failure, it will prompt you to visit the LinkedIn profile of the lead and perform the task manually.
View Profile
This step opens the LinkedIn profile of a particular lead. After clicking on the LinkedIn profile view button, it redirects the user to that particular LinkedIn profile in a different tab.
- Step 1: Go to the Cadence page and create a new cadence with the step LinkedIn
- Step 2: Select the particular task, view the profile, and launch the cadence.
- Step 3: In this particular step, you can write some messages as well as view your profile.
- Step 4: After you launch this cadence, this particular task will appear on the task page, and after clicking on that particular task, you will get to see the LinkedIn profile view button on the right-hand side of the screen. Next, you click on that button, and the task will start performing itself.
- Step 5: When the task is successfully done, you will get a notification saying Successfully viewed profile on the top left of the screen, as well as a notification in the activity area saying “This task is done...”
- Step 6: As soon as you click on the LinkedIn profile view button, you will be directed to the user’s LinkedIn profile page in a new tab.
Interact with the post
This is only a word used to describe the job it must perform. Since the post corresponds to the LinkedIn profile page, this step is to just interact with it. In order to interact, it would direct us to the specific lead's LinkedIn page, and we would interact with the lead’s LinkedIn post accordingly.
- Step 1: Go to the Cadence page and create a new cadence with the step LinkedIn
- Step 2: Select the particular task Interact with the post and launch the cadence.
- Step 3: Go to the task page and click on the particular task. On the right side of the screen, you will be able to see the LinkedIn Interact button. Click on it.
- Step 4: After you click on the button, the task will be performed. After the task is successfully performed, you will get a notification on the top left of the screen and, at the same time, a notification in the activity area saying “This task is done....”
- Step 5: In the next step In order to interact, it would direct us to the specific lead's LinkedIn page, and we could interact with the lead’s LinkedIn post accordingly.
