Understanding the differences between licenses, users, and numbers allows you to optimize the use of your Ringover account. This article explains how to distinguish between these three key concepts and best manage your business communication system.

1. Ringover licenses: your access rights

Licenses on Ringover give you the right to access the platform and use its features. Each license is an individual login right that you can assign flexibly.

Automatic association : Each license is automatically associated with a phone number.
Uncreated users : You can have active and configured licenses even if no physical user is associated with them yet.
Number limit : Each license allows a maximum of three mobile numbers to be assigned.

💡 Good to know : Ringover offers three types of licenses tailored to your communication needs.

⚠️ Important : - Deleting a user does not delete the associated licence. It becomes available again in the "Billing" section of your Ringover Dashboard. Your features maybe restricted if no payment method is saved or if a payment is pending.

2. Ringover users: your active team members

A user is a specific physical person within your company who actively uses the Ringover platform.

Access to features : The user accesses Ringover tools and features via their assigned license, according to their permissions.
Role : This is the team member who makes and receives calls daily to manage their business communications.

3. Additional numbers: extending your lines

Additional numbers are extra phone lines attached to your overall account to increase your calling capacity.

Flexibility : Use them to make and receive calls on the Ringover platform according to your specific needs.
Association : Assign these numbers to Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems or directly to existing users (for example, to assign them a landline and a mobile line).

💡 Good to know : If you need more than three mobile numbers per license, you must add additional licenses via your Dashboard or contact your Customer Success Manager.

4. Managing your Ringover licenses

You can adjust your license setup at any time from your admin portal:

Add licenses : Add new licenses directly from your Dashboard.
Modify your plans : Contact Ringover support to change contract type or adjust your options.
Reduce your setup : Contact your Customer Success Manager at success@ringover.com to request a reduction in your plan.
