Porting your existing numbers allows you to keep your established contact details while enjoying advanced VoIP communication features. In this guide, you’ll learn how to submit a portability request for your landline and mobile numbers

Prerequisites

Before initiating a portability request, ensure your account meets the necessary requirements.

You must be an account administrator or have access to the Dashboard to add numbers to your Ringover account.

Porting your numbers to Ringover

1. Initiate the portability request

You can easily start the porting process directly from your account's dashboard.

Go to the numbers page.
Click on the add a number button and choose port number, OR click the portability button next to it.
Select the country for the number you are porting.

2. Provide the required details and documentation

To ensure a smooth transfer, you must fill out the porting details and provide specific documents based on your region.

Phone bill: Upload a recent phone bill for the relevant line, issued within the last 3 months.
Proof of address: Provide this if the address on the phone bill does not match the area code of the numbers to be ported.
Proof of company registration: Provide your SIRET number or company registration if required.
Requested porting date: Select your desired date (subject to carrier availability).

💡Your billing will automatically be updated at the end of the month with the price of the new numbers you have added.

3. Porting a mobile number

If you are porting a mobile number instead of a landline, you will need to follow a slightly different process.

Obtain a PAC (Porting Authorization Code) from your current mobile provider.
Ensure your current mobile contract has expired or you are eligible for porting.
Contact Ringover's porting team with your PAC code and number details.
Verify the porting request and the expected timeline for the transfer.

4. Sign the authorization mandate

After submitting your request, you must finalize it by signing an electronic document.

Check your email inbox.
Click the link provided in the email to electronically sign the portability authorization form.

⚠️ Your portability request will only be processed once this mandate is signed within the specified time frame.
