The "Open Note Automatically" feature allows the Ringover phone extension to automatically open the contact's record in Bullhorn as soon as an outbound call is triggered. Your agents instantly access the contact's history and notes, with no manual action required.

Enable the "Open Note Automatically" feature
Here's how to enable this setting directly from your Ringover phone extension:
- Open the Ringover extension in your browser by clicking the Ringover icon in the extensions bar.
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of the extension.
- Go to the Integrations section, then select Bullhorn.
- Enable the "Open Note Automatically" setting by toggling it to On.
Using the feature during an outbound call
Once the feature is enabled, here's what happens during your outbound calls:
During the call
- Start an outbound call from the Ringover extension (or by clicking a number in Bullhorn via Click-to-Call).
- As soon as the call starts, Ringover automatically opens the called contact's record and notes page in Bullhorn.
- You can enter your notes directly in Bullhorn during the call, and even after hanging up, until you save.
After the call: two activities created in Bullhorn
Once your notes are saved and the call is over, Ringover creates two separate activities in the Bullhorn contact record:
Activity 1: Your handwritten notes
- The notes you entered manually during or after the call
- Kept exactly as written, with no modifications
Activity 2: Ringover-generated content
- Call summary (AI)
- Full transcript
- Suggested next steps (Empower)
- Call tags
- Call duration
- Link to the recording

Frequently asked questions
Does the record also open for inbound calls?
No. The "Open Note Automatically" feature is reserved for outbound calls only.
What happens if the contact isn't found in Bullhorn?
If no contact matching the dialed number is found in Bullhorn, the window won't open automatically. The call proceeds normally and no activity is created.
Can I keep taking notes after I hang up?
Yes. The notes page stays open in Bullhorn after the call ends. You can keep entering or editing your notes before saving — the two activities are only generated upon saving.
Can my previous notes be overwritten by Ringover content?
No. Thanks to the two-activity system, your manual notes are never overwritten by the content automatically generated by Ringover (AI summary, transcript, etc.).
