The Open Note Automatically feature opens a Bullhorn contact’s record and notes page when you start an outbound call with Ringover. This guide shows you how to enable the setting, take notes during a call and find the resulting activities in Bullhorn.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:
- You have a Ringover Business account.
- The Ringover × Bullhorn integration is activated and configured.
- The Ringover extension is installed in your browser (Chrome, Firefox or Safari).
- You are making an outbound call. This feature does not open a record for inbound calls.
How to open Bullhorn notes automatically during a Ringover call
1. Enable Open Note Automatically
Enable the setting in your Ringover browser extension:
- Click the Ringover icon in your browser’s extensions bar.
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of the extension.
- Go to Integrations.
- Select Bullhorn.
- Turn Open Note Automatically On.
2. Take notes during an outbound call
- Start an outbound call from the Ringover extension or click a number in Bullhorn using Click-to-Call.
- When the contact’s record and notes page open in Bullhorn, enter your notes.
- Continue editing your notes after the call if needed, then save them in Bullhorn.
Note: In your Bullhorn notes, you can use @ to tag people and # to tag a job.
3. Review the two activities in Bullhorn
Once you save your notes after the call, two separate activities appear on the Bullhorn contact record:
- Your manual notes: The notes you entered during or after the call are kept as written.
- Ringover-generated content: A separate activity contains the AI call summary, full transcript, suggested next steps from Empower, call tags, call duration and a link to the recording.
Your manual notes are kept separate from the content generated by Ringover.
Frequently asked questions
Does the record also open for inbound calls?
No. Open Note Automatically applies to outbound calls only.
What happens if the contact isn’t found in Bullhorn?
If no Bullhorn contact matches the dialed number, the window does not open automatically. The call proceeds normally, and no activity is created through this feature.
Can I keep taking notes after I hang up?
Yes. The notes page stays open after the call. You can continue editing your notes before saving them.
Can Ringover content overwrite my notes?
No. Your manual notes and Ringover-generated content are stored as separate activities.
