Creating a voice announcement in MP3 format with your IVR on Ringover allows you to personalize the call experience for your customers. A professional voice announcement enhances your company's image, provides important information clearly and effectively, and ensures that customers receive the appropriate message before being attended to.
You have two options for creating a voice announcement:
- Create an announcement with synthesized voice and background music
- Upload a custom MP3 file for your phone system announcement (note that .wav files are not supported)
Below we'll walk through the process of uploading your own MP3 file:
- 💻 Go to your Dashboard> Settings> IVRs
- Click on "Modify" next to the IVR where you want to create a greeting 🎙️
- Click on "Configure" to access scenario modification 🖊️
- Click on "Create" to access Ringover's online studio 🎵: Uncheck "Add text" and then select "Your background music"
💡 Attention, your announcement must not exceed 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
- Click on "Add background music (MP3 format)" to choose the file containing your voice announcement
- Click on "Preview Message" 📢 to validate your selection
💡 To hear your voice message clearly, you may need to uncheck the 'add background music' option temporarily
You can now use your greeting in MP3 format for your Ringover IVR! 👌
Note: If you need to add pauses between phrases in your welcome message, consider creating your audio file with natural spacing or using background music to create intervals between phrases.
