Creating a scenario for special dates (holidays, etc.) on your IVR

To facilitate the management of your phone system when you take a well-deserved break 💤, we have developed the "Special dates" feature. This tool allows you to automatically apply an alternative scenario (for example, to route calls directly to voicemail instead of to users) for certain dates. Additionally, you can leverage this functionality to customize call forwarding according to your schedule. 📅

 

Prerequisites:

• You must have a Ringover Business or Advanced account to take advantage of this feature

 

Step 1: Adding a special date

 

• 💻 Go to your Dashboard> Settings> IVRs

 

 

• Select the IVR you wish to modify, and click on "Special dates" 📅

 

 

• Select "Add a date"

 

 

Step 2: Set the desired period

 

• Name and determine the desired period

 

• Click on "Create" to create the special date

 

👆 In this example, the scenario will be created for the period from August 1, 2023, to August 31, 2023

 

Step 3: Defining call routing rules

 

• Click on "configure" for the scenario that has been created

 

 

• Configure your scenario and IVR according to your needs

 

💡 If no personnel is available during the defined period, redirect your calls directly to voicemail.

 

• Use Ringover's online studio to record a greeting that will play during this period 🎵

 

 

• Click on "Save IVR" before closing to ensure the changes are saved correctly

 

💡 The scenario will only be applied on the chosen dates
