Creating a central phone system with forwarding to external numbers allows you to optimize call management by redirecting them to different numbers based on your needs. This solution is perfect for ensuring that calls are handled efficiently, improving coverage at various times, and reducing costs by leveraging external resources as needed.
Step 1: Create an IVR
- 💻 Go to Dashboard> IVR and click on "Create an IVR"
- Give your IVR a name and select "Configure" to access scenario modification 🖊️:
💡 You'll then need to create a greeting for your voice menu, in which you indicate to your callers which keys to press to continue.
💡 Pro tip: Ringover offers flexibility in IVR configurations. You can set up an IVR with a number from one country (e.g., South Africa) while having agents with login profiles and numbers from another country (e.g., UK). This allows for global call handling regardless of geographic location.
Step 2: Buy credits
You have the option of forwarding your Ringover calls to external numbers thanks to an Interactive Voice Response. To do so, you must purchase credits.💰 The standard cost for redirection is €0.03 per minute, though this rate may vary based on the country or destination number, and charges will be deducted from your credits.
If you already have credits, go to the next step. If you don't yet have any and wish to purchase credits, go to https://dashboard.ringover.com/billing 💳.
⚠️ Important: If calls are not being transferred successfully, first check your account credits. Insufficient credits can prevent calls from being routed correctly. Contact Ringover support to add credits to your account if needed.
Step 3: Set up forwarding to external numbers
To redirect calls to your standard to external numbers, choose "External Numbers" from the menu. Click on "Add a number," then enter the number to which the call will be redirected:
