Once you have created your IVR (auto-attendant), you need to assign it a phone number so it can become operational and receive calls.
Steps to assign a number to your IVR
- Go to your Ringover Dashboard> Settings> IVRs
- Select the IVR to which you want to assign a number
- Click on the “+” icon (small plus symbol) next to the IVR name
- Assign the phone number
In the pop-up window, you’ll see a dropdown list of available numbers:
- Choose a number from the existing list
- If you don’t find the number you need, select “Request a new number” to purchase a new one. You can choose between local or international numbers, depending on your needs.
- Click on “Assign the number” to confirm
- Once assigned, you will receive a confirmation notification on your Dashboard
The number will now be correctly associated with your IVR 👌
Additional Tips
- Manage your numbers: In the Settings> Numbers section, you can view and manage all the numbers in your account.
- Test your IVR: Make a test call to ensure the assigned number works correctly with your IVR.
- Customize your settings: If you need to change schedules, menu options, or other configurations, you can do so in the IVR menu.
Done! Your IVR is now operational with the assigned number and ready to receive calls 🎉
Template IVR Nearest Number
In the dropdown list next to your "Create IVR" button, you have the option to create an IVR template.
The prospecting IVR for outbound calls only allows the team to load a list of numbers and use them as needed. All incoming calls are redirected to the last agent who called.
The goal is to create a prospecting IVR where the team can include all its agents and numbers, and manage outbound calls using the nearest available number.
This phone number is now linked to your IVR! 👌
