To enable your microphone using Ringover from the Google Chrome browser:
- 💻 Go to your Ringover Webapp and activate the microphone 🎤
- In the top-right corner of your screen, a pop-up will appear. Check the "Allow" ✅ box to let Ringover use the microphone on Chrome.
- If the pop-up window does not appear or an error message appears:
- Go to the top left of your page (near the URL) and click on the page settings:
- Click on "Reset permissions" and refresh the page
- Grant microphone access
- Your microphone will be detected
Additional troubleshooting for microphone access issues:
If you're still experiencing microphone issues, try these steps:
- Check Chrome site settings: Click the lock icon next to the URL, select 'Site settings', locate Microphone and set it to Allow
- Verify the correct microphone is selected: Click the three dots in Chrome > Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Microphone, and choose your preferred input device
- Select your microphone in Ringover: Click the microphone icon at the bottom left of the dialer and select your preferred device in the 'Micro' section
- Test your sound settings: Check if other applications like Google Meet or YouTube are working correctly to isolate the issue
- Restart your browser: After adjusting permissions, try restarting Chrome
