Getting started with the WhatsApp task
These are the following steps to create the WhatsApp task:
- Step 1: Go to the Cadence page and create a new cadence with the step Whatsapp.
- Step 2: After choosing the particular option, you will be taken to the screen where you may write the message you want to send over WhatsApp.
- Step 3: After that, you must add a lead to the cadence and click on Launch Cadence.
- Step 4: After you launch this cadence, this particular task will appear on the task page, and after clicking on that particular task, you will get to see the WhatsApp button on the right-hand side of the screen. Next, you need to click on that button, and the task will start performing itself.
- Step 5: Next up, you will get to see a modal opening on the screen along with the message. Click on the Send button.
- Step 6: After you click on the send button, you will be directed to a new tab. Now, to continue to chat, you have to select either WhatsApp web or download the WhatsApp app.
- Step 7: If you choose WhatsApp Web, you must be connected to WhatsApp on the browser.
For that, scan the QR code and log in. Next, you will be directed to WhatsApp and be able to send the message.
- Step 8: In case you do not want to use the WhatsApp web interface, you can download the app for your specific device.
- Step 9: After the successful installation of the application on your device or the successful WhatsApp web-logging you will be directed to the WhatsApp chat of the lead’s number on the app, and you have to click on the send button to send the message. The message will be copied in the type message section.
- Step 10: After the message is sent, you will receive a notification in the activity area on the task page saying the task has been performed.
