What is this about?
In this document, we will learn how to add leads to cadence in Sellsy. There are some steps to import leads using CSV. These steps are explained in below headings:
Exporting CSV from Sellsy:
Step 1. Go to the list of contacts in Sellsy.
Step 2. Please select the following Fields in the column for export.
Step 3. Click on Actions > CSV export.
Step 4. Export selection: Here we can select two different alternatives:
- Export only displayed columns: In this field, you can export only the column that is selected or customized column.
- Export all available columns: If you choose this field you can export all the available columns on the page. We recommend you use "Export all available columns".
NOTE - While importing the leads in Cadence the fields those are mapped with Cadence will be exported. Before you import to Cadence, you can verify the leads with Cadence import preview.
Step 5. Click on Export. The download link of the file will be sent to the mail ID of the user.
Importing CSV into Cadence:
Step 1. Open the Prospect tab in cadence.
Step 2. Click on Import Excel..
Step 3. Now you can import leads by dragging and dropping or by browsing and then clicking on Import Leads.
Step 4. After uploading a CSV file, you'll be redirected to the field mapping page. Here, You have to do the field mapping properly so that mapped field data gets added whenever a lead gets added to the Cadence. Remember, Ringover cadence fields with * are compulsory to map.
*Ensure the Owner Name in CSV is the same as the cadence.
Step 5. After mapping, the import leads page will open. When no status is shown in the picture, the contact is absent in cadence. Import the contact into the tool by selecting and clicking on Add.
Step 6. After you click on Add the leads will get added to Cadence and you will see the Success status on the right-hand side of the screen.
Status of Cadence on the Import Page
In between the timing of importing the leads and adding them to Cadence, there can be two types of status for the Cadence.
-
Active - This shows that the contact is already present in the tool and has a running cadence.
-
Error - Clicking an error message gives information about why the lead cannot be imported. When a “User not present in cadence” error is found, it implies that the user is not signed up with cadence, so the user must be added to the tool to allow imports.
