All about changing the Team
About:
When an employee transitions between groups, certain permissions and changes are applied to their access within the Cadence Tool. This documentation aims to provide an overview of these changes and the options available during such transitions.
Special Note for Admins and Super Admins:
Admins and Super Admins can modify the user group of any individual within the Cadence Tool. However, neither Admins nor Super Admins are permitted to change their group.
Getting started with the team-changing:
Follow these steps to change the team:
Step 1: Log in to your Cadence account and visit the settings page.
Step 2: Go to the Groups and Members section.
Step 3: Navigate to any group and, on the right side of the screen, click the More button located next to the name of a group member.
Step 4: Select the option Change Team.
Step 5: The Team Change modal will pop up once you choose that option, and you'll need to choose your preferred team from the drop-down menu.
Step 6: Choosing an action for leads and contacts is necessary after selecting the team.
There are three options available.
-
Move all leads and contacts to a new cadence:
In this option, the leads will be moved to another existing cadence of the transitioning user. This cadence should either be personal or company-wide.
- Now you must choose a cadence from the list of alternatives and then click Confirm Selection. You can choose your preferred cadence from either the Personal or Company section, then click on Confirm Team Change.
-
Special Note for CRM Integration with Sheets: If the CRM integration type is Sheets, which supports both the Google Sheets cadence and the Excel cadence, there are specific considerations for this transition:
- Excel Leads: Leads from the Excel cadence can be moved to another existing cadence of the transitioning user. This cadence should either be personal or company-wide.
- Google Sheets Leads: Given current system limitations, Google Sheets leads will not be moved to another cadence. Instead, these leads will be permanently deleted from the Cadence Tool and also from Google Sheets.
-
Remove all leads from Cadence, but keep them in the tool:
In this option, the leads will be unlinked from that cadence. However, these leads will not be deleted from the Cadence Tool and can still be viewed on the 'People' page. After selecting this option, click on Confirm Team Change.
