Prerequisites:
- You must have a Ringover Business or Advanced account
- As a Ringover Admin, you have already activated your Front integration. If not, please follow these initial steps

You have purchased a mobile phone number. If you wish to purchase a mobile number, please visit the Dashboard > Numbers section
Part 1. Configure the team SMS channel
The team SMS Channel enables your users to send and receive SMS messages via a shared Ringover mobile number.
To set this up, we need to create and IVR and assign the mobile number in Ringover. Then we can create an application channel in Front.
1. Create an IVR in Ringover
Step 1. Go to the your Ringover Dashboard > IVR
Step 2. Click 'Create IVR'
Step 3. Enter a name for your IVR and click 'Save'
2. Assign your mobile number to the IVR
In the Dashboard, go to to the Numbers page.
Find the mobile number that you have purchased and open the menu.
Click 'Assign to IVR'.
Note: the mobile number needs to be free, which means it can't be already allocated to a user.
2. Copy the team authorization token in Ringover
- Open Ringover, go to Dashboard > Integrations and search for Front:
- Click on 'Configure'
- In the settings panel, Scroll down until you see 'Application channel auth token'
- Copy this in your clipboard
2. Connect with the Ringover Application Channel in Front
- Open Front, click on the top gear icon 'Settings':
- Navigate to the 'Channels' page
- Click on 'Connect a Channel'
- Scroll down to the SMS and Telephony section and pick Ringover
- Click on 'Connect'
- Give a name to your Channel, eg. 'Ringover Team SMS'
- Paste your authorization token in the field

Click 'Continue'
- On the next page, Select the Inbox where you want to route SMS messages
- For example, 'Ringover SMS Inbox'
- Click on 'Continue'
Part 2. Configure the personal SMS channel
The personal SMS Channel enables your users to send and receive SMS messages via their personal Ringover mobile number.
To set this up, we need to create an application channel.
1. Copy the authorization token in Ringover
- Open Ringover, go to Dashboard > Integrations and search for Front:
- Click on 'Configure'
- In the settings panel, Scroll down until you see 'Application channel auth token'
- Copy this in your clipboard
2. Connect with the Ringover Application Channel in Front
- Open Front, click on the top gear icon 'Settings':
- Navigate to the 'Channels' page
- Click on 'Connect a Channel'
- Scroll down to the SMS and Telephony section and pick Ringover
- Click on 'Connect'
- Give a name to your Channel, eg. 'Ringover Personal SMS'
- Paste your authorization token in the field
- Click 'Continue'
- On the next page, Select the Inbox where you want to route SMS messages
- For example, 'Ringover SMS Inbox'
- Click on 'Continue'
That's it, the integration is done!
From now on, you can compose SMS messages via your Ringover Application Channel !
Compose SMS Messages and reply
- To compose an SMS Message, simply click "Compose" then "From" to open the list of Channels, and select your Ringover SMS Channel, whether it's the Personal Channel or the Team Channel:
- To reply via an SMS Message, simply reply within the Ringover SMS Inbox

Your team SMS Messages will appear as "collaborative" SMS:
