Verifying your business on Facebook is a mandatory step to activate and use the WhatsApp Business integration with Ringover. By validating your Meta account, you ensure the security of your communications and unlock interaction with your customers. In this article, you will learn how to identify the cause of validation blocks and apply quick solutions to finalise your verification smoothly.
Prerequisites and useful information
Before starting or continuing your verification procedure, keep in mind these key elements determined by Meta:
- Profile and account age : Activating WhatsApp Business may depend on your company profile and account age. However, Meta does not specify any minimum period of activity. A newly created company can therefore certainly submit its verification request.
- Impact of the Meta Score Rating : Your quality score (Meta Score Rating), based on engagement and the quality of your customer interactions, can influence the processing of your file. A positive score facilitates the verification process. You can track your performance and ratings directly in your Facebook Business Manager.
1. Diagnose common verification issues
When reviewing your company, Facebook's algorithms and teams may note several discrepancies in information. Here is the meaning and interpretation of the main error messages:
1. Facebook suggests phone confirmation rather than email
Facebook cannot verify with certainty that the business owns the website domain of the email address used, or that the person submitting the file belongs to the company.
2. The company phone number and the confirmed number do not match
The number entered for verification does not match exactly the one stated in the general information or on the company's legal registration documents.
3. The website content and the business do not match
Facebook cannot establish ownership between your website and your legal entity, particularly if your full legal business name does not appear explicitly on your legal notices or pages.
5. The company and the email domain do not match
Meta cannot confirm ownership of your professional email domain. In this scenario, uploading additional documents proving your domain ownership may be requested.
5. Legal name and address: documents not accepted or conflicting information
The official documents provided do not contain all the required elements or contain details (address, spelling of the name, etc.) different from those entered in your setup profile.
2. Apply solutions to blocking errors
Follow these instructions to resolve the main technical blocks encountered when submitting your verification request.
1. You do not receive the verification code by email
To finalise the validation of your contact details, you must enter a 6-digit code sent by Meta.
- Log in to your professional email account.
- Make sure to use a professional email address containing your company's domain name (public webmail like Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo is not accepted).
- If the email does not appear in your inbox or spam folder, contact your IT department to allow and whitelist emails coming from Facebook, as your internal security rules might filter them.
2. You see "You are verified", but Business Manager indicates "Not verified"
Sometimes, the Facebook notification interface displays conflicting or unsynchronised information.
- Open your Facebook Business Manager.
- Go to the Business Info menu.
- Check your actual verification status directly.
- If the Continue application button is displayed, click it to identify and complete the missing step or information blocking the synchronisation.
3. The "Start verification" button is greyed out
This usually happens when your Business Manager account does not yet have an eligible associated asset.
- Fill in and submit the WhatsApp integration request form provided by Ringover.
- The Ringover team takes care of initiating the creation of your WABA (WhatsApp Business Account). Facebook immediately considers this account as an asset.
- Once the basic setup has been completed on our end, log in to your Business Manager.
- Look for the notification bell at the top right (Jewel notification) and accept the invitation to link the WABA asset to your Business Manager. The Start verification button will then become clickable.
