Audio conferences are a feature that allows for group phone calls, where several people can participate in a conversation simultaneously. With Ringover's audio conferences, you can easily connect colleagues, clients, or business partners in a joint call, facilitating collaboration and efficient communication, especially in business environments.
Prerequisites:
- ⚠️ To add a number for your call audio conferences, you need an available landline phone number that has not yet been assigned.
Step 1: Check the availability of a number
- 💻 Go to Settings> Numbers on your Ringover Dashboard
- Click on "Available" to view the list of available numbers 📃
💡 If there are no available numbers, you can add one by clicking on the "Add number" button at the top of the screen.
Step 2: Create an audio conference
- 💻 Go to Settings> Audio Conferences on your Ringover Dashboard
- Click on "Create an audio conference" located at the top of the screen
- Assign a name to your audio conference
- Click on "Create" to create your audio conference
💡 Once you have created the audio conference, you will see it listed on the page. To customize it according to your needs, click on "Edit" next to the created audio conference. From there, you will have the ability to adjust it according to your preferences. Among the available options are:
- User access code: determines if an access code will be required when joining the audio conference.
- Maximum number of participants: the maximum number of people who will be accepted in the audio conference.
- Entry beep: sound heard when a person joins the audio conference. It serves to notify participants that someone new has joined the call. Exit beep: sound played when someone leaves the audio conference. This can be useful for remaining participants, as it indicates that someone has left the call.
- Greeting music: a recorded or automatically generated message played when a participant joins the audio conference. This message can welcome participants to the call, provide instructions on how to join, or remind them of the basic rules of the audio conference.
- Hold music: a melody or audio track played while participants are waiting for the audio conference to start or while they are on hold before more participants join.
Step 3: Assign a number to an audio conference
When you have at least one available number, you can click on the three dots to the right of the number . Then, select the option "Assign to an audio conference" and select which audio conference the number should be assigned to.
From the audio conferences page
Once you have created your audio conference, you will see it listed on the page. To assign a number, simply click on the "+" symbol located to the right of your audio conference.
To take into account:
💡 You have the option to get a call link that allows you to call with a single click. To call and add a label to your audio conference, click on the three dots to the right of the number and select "Get Click2Call link"
